Walking and Drawing workshop

Join Artist Rebekah Dean, for a leisurely wander, around this unique location with its landscaped gardens and wildlife. The group will be gathering images and found objects to develop into personal drawings, as we connect with nature and our own wellbeing.
Please bring your own A4 sketchbook of cartridge paper, all other drawing materials will be provided.

Meadows, Memories and Making

Create pollinator habitats, get crafty and explore local green heritage with the Finchley Pollinator Project.
Help plant a community meadow; take home a meadow and bulbs in a pot; make a meadow "saucer sign" ; enjoy arts and crafts and visit the heritage exhibition exploring the history of Finchley’s community gardens and green spaces, together with the local groups and volunteers who care for them today.
All activities are free, and you’re welcome to drop in and explore the event between 11am and 2pm. Only the Meadow & Bulb in a Pot workshop requires advance booking.
Meadow & Bulb in a Pot workshop
Create your own mini meadow and plant pollinator-friendly bulbs in a pot to take home. These small, portable habitats can bring colour and food for pollinators to gardens, balconies and other small spaces. A Commemoration in Poppies
Can you knit or crochet a Poppy?
In partnership with Finchley WI, we are asking you to help create a community installation of knitted & crocheted poppies. These will be displayed on the main House throughout November following an installation day, when you can come along and attach your poppy/poppies.
The end of the war saw the biggest movement of people in European history so following our celebration of the anniversary of VE Day last year, we remember those who were lost, those who were displaced and those who came home.
All patterns are welcome, but we have attached some patterns here for you to download should you wish. You can also drop your poppy of at the main house
We are also looking for donations of wool and black buttons to use as centres. Red for members of the armed forces, White for civilians and Purple for animals that served
