General Manager
Malcolm Godfrey
Appointed in August 2012 former Naval Officer with 28 years Military service Malcolm Godfrey is a hugely experienced hospitality professional and since the end of the last Millennium has specialised in delivering historic buildings and attractions for visitors and events. He has worked extensively with the use of Heritage venues as film locations for major productions and using his experience finds practical solutions for the most beneficial use of these venues to maximise a return to preserve their future. A keen amateur historian he has carried out extensive research on previous venues he has worked at and has presented for radio and television on a variety of historical subjects.
House Staff
The Stewards are the important people who help maintain the house and see to the everyday running of it. From setting up rooms for events to cleaning function rooms and managing day to day security they are a true asset to Stephens House & Gardens.
Office Staff
The staff in the offices continue to make sure that the house and gardens are open for the public and as a venue daily. Without them it would be difficult for Stephens House & Gardens to remain open. These are the people who organise public and private events as well as deal with tenants and any problems and queries they have.
Gardeners
At Stephens House & Gardens we employ a head gardener and assistant gardener. The hard work they put in can be seen in the wonderful garden we have here. From the upkeep of the plant and tree life to the everyday maintenance of the gardens, they have an impressive work ethic and are always striving to make the gardens as beautiful as possible.
Catering & Hospitality
A dedicated inhouse staff provides catering and hospitality services to celebrations and events taking place in the house. With support expertise that covers everything from Royal Banquets and celebrity occasions to small family celebrations. They are the perfect team to deliver for any event.
