The Grand Opening of our newly developed children’s playground.

A great time was had by all at The Grand Opening of our newly developed children’s playground.

The Friends of Stephens House & Gardens organised and planned a wonderful pirate themed event to celebrate, with special guests Ella Kenion from CBeebies, Swashbuckle and Barnet Mayor, Councillor David Longstaff.

The hugely popular pirate fancy dress contest drew in old and young alike – thanks to all who participated and a big round of applause to those children who braved the crocodile infested waters by safely making it across the plank. The event was kindly sponsored by Church End Dental Clinic.

The Playground has been redesigned to facilitate the needs of the local children and families by providing a space where they can explore, climb and build. It has been enjoyed for many years and with its new lease of life will provide an attractive and safe play space to the children of Finchley and beyond for years to come.
