New Chair for the Trust - The search is on!

Regeneration

AHET is the registered charity that manages Stephens House & Gardens for the benefit of the people. Avenue House, the former home of the ink magnate Henry ‘Inky’ Stephens, is a handsome Victorian Grade II-listed mansion and its ten acres of landscaped gardens provide a much-loved green oasis for the local community. This is an important time for the Trust, which is in the final stages of delivering a £3m improvement to the gardens, funded mainly from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery. Once complete, the Trustees plan to embark on a much-needed refurbishment of the House.

The term of office of the current Chair ends in late 2017, and the Trust is seeking a successor to take over at a mutually agreeable date.
