Illyra present a thumping adventure, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, where intrepid explorers travel to an uncharted plateau and find plants and creatures beyond their wildest dreams. But how will they make anyone believe the wonders they have seen actually exist? Unless, of course, they bring something back... Illyria promises prehistoric thrills, monster laughs and life-size dinosaurs in the must-see show of the summer.

Discover.film is changing the way that people think of short films. They look for the best short films. Films that are entertaining and tell a story. The sort of short films that people want to watch. That make them laugh. Or cry. That shock and surprise.

Each year they hold 2 Festivals with screenings at Finchley's famed Phoenix Cinema, followed by their awards ceremony here at the House. As a curtain raiser to their next festival in October they have selected a number of films to screen on our lawn, so come along bring a blanket to sit on and join us.

TRAFALGAR NIGHT CHARITY DINNER

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT STEPHENS HOUSE & GARDENS, COMBINING FINE DINING WITH HISTORICAL DRAMA

Stephens House & Gardens is hosting  a Trafalgar Night dinner in aid of  the Avenue House Estate Trust. The Trust is  dedicated to the on-going development of  Stephens House  both  as a treasured  historic property and home for numerous Community focused projects and Charities.

A Trafalgar Night event  celebrates  the victory won by the Royal Navy, commanded by Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson, over the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805.  Henry ‘Inky’ Stephens purchased lands for his estate from the 4th Viscount Nelson making Stephens House & Gardens  perfectly suited for a Trafalgar Night experience.

This prestigious reception and cabaret dinner event will take place in the grand Drawing Room of this magnificent Victorian Mansion and will feature a 5 course fine dining menu, free flowing wines and port. During the evening guests will enjoy live music and dramatic and amusing insights into the events at  the Battle of Trafalgar. This evening in aid of a great cause will be a unique and extraordinary  journey into a dramatic historical event.

Inspired by Turner: Art Workshop

The Victorian splendour of Avenue House’s Drawing Room is dressed for the festive season and you will be treated to a sumptuous three-course feast of traditional freshly cooked Christmas fayre.
