Gardens Closure over the Festive Period

Why we closed the gardens over Christmas and New Year

A number of our regular users have been asking why the Gardens were closed over the Christmas and New Year public holidays. The reason was to enable our hard working managers, staff and regular volunteers to have a few days rest over the festive period. The last two years have been extremely demanding and it is thanks to them that the Gardens are still here for us all to enjoy. We are sure users will appreciate that, for safety reasons, we were unable to open the Gardens without a member of staff being on site.

The closure was publicised in advance in our December newsletter and social media, and on signs posted at all gates and on the notice boards.

Wishing all our users a happy and healthy New Year, and hoping you all continue to enjoy the gardens and support us in any way you can.
